Dude Trailer Out: The much-awaited trailer of the Tamil movie Dude has finally been unveiled by the makers on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Written and directed by Keerthiswaran, the romantic comedy-drama stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, the Tamil movie promises to deliver laughter, emotions, and a relatable love story. Dude is set to release in cinemas on October 17, 2025, coinciding with the Diwali holidays. 

Sharing the trailer online, the production team wrote, “Presenting the Top Gear of Dude – #DudeTrailer (Tamil),” building further excitement for the film’s release. The trailer of Dude has already created quite a buzz among fans. It opens with a fun, youthful vibe and quickly shifts into a rollercoaster of emotions, hinting at a complicated love story between the lead characters. The storyline appears to revolve around a relationship that begins with romance but takes unexpected turns after a breakup. The film also features R. Sarath Kumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Dravid Selvam alongside the lead duo.

Meanwhile, fans on social media have been full of praise for the trailer. One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, “#Dude Trailer - Excellent cuts by Editor @barathvikraman with all the right elements. As the director said, the film talks about marriage and emotions.” Another fan commented, “#Dude Trailer - Another Pakka Youth Festival Loading from PR. His swag, comedy and music are all on point.” Several users also noted that the film seems to carry a strong emotional connection, similar to Pradeep Ranganathan’s earlier hits Love Today and Dragon. One fan said, “More than comedy and action, Love Today and Dragon worked because of the emotions. From the trailer, Dude seems to have that emotional depth too.”

Interestingly, Pradeep Ranganathan revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India that he had originally turned down the project. He said, “Keerthiswaran first reached out to me through a mutual contact. When I read the synopsis, I instantly said no because the story’s core idea shocked me. I wasn’t sure if audiences would accept it or if I might be mocked.” However, Keerthiswaran remained persistent. After Mythri Movie Makers showed interest in the script and approached Pradeep again, the actor decided to come on board, not wanting to risk the opportunity for the director.
