DYK Arbaaz Khan Didn't Want Malaika Arora In Munni Badnaam Hui? Here's Why

Salman Khan's cult classic Dabangg is one of the most-cherished movies of the superstar. The film was hit for several reasons and one being the song Munni Badnaam, featuring Arbaaz Khan's ex-wife Malaika Arora. However, did you know Arbaaz was allegedly uncomfortable with the item song? Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap made some new revelations about Arbaaz Khan. Here is what he has said:

Abhinav Kashyap said in a conversation with Bollywood Thikana, "They were uncomfortable with Malaika’s presentation in the song. They were worried that her presentation would be vulgar because ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ was a raunchy song. But I had assured them. Malaika had already created her own space in item songs, just like her stepmother-in-law, Helen. I wanted her, and I fought to have her in the song. They didn’t want her in the song. Arbaaz specifically did not want Malaika to do that song."

Responding to the persistent claims made by director Abhinav Kashyap against him and his family, Salman Khan addressed the controversy on a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19. Khan sarcastically referred to Kashyap as a "Dabangg person," noting that he had also included Aamir Khan in his accusations. Referring to a previous episode where he had advised Kashyap to simply "work," Khan now directly challenged him, asking, "Did you find work, brother?"

Khan then suggested that because of his negative actions and public criticism, not only the people Kashyap is naming, but also anyone associated with them, would refuse to work with him. He concluded by reminding Kashyap, "And then when we offered you a picture, you said you wouldn't do it."

"Mujhe baat buri sirf ek hee cheez lag rahi hai ki apne apne aap ko destroy kar diya. Agar kisike parivar ke peeche padhna hai toh khudke parivar ke peeche padho. Apne bhai ke peeche padho, usse pyar karlo, Maa Pita se pyar karlo, biwi bachho ka khayal rakh lo. I’m saying that they are worried about you. Agar koi apko ek advice deta hai ke bhai soch samajh ke bola karo, I want to see you grow, you are a talented man, achha likhta hai. Yeh gully mat jao. Wapas se aa jao highway pe," said Salman.
