EntOn Tuesday, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the National Film Award under the "Best Actor" category. His wife Gauri Khan took to her Instagram handle and shared SRK's photo, writing, "What a journey it’s been @iamsrk. Congratulations on winning the National Award!!! So deserving… it’s a result of your years of hardwork and dedication. Now I’m designing a special mantle for this award."

Shah Rukh Khan received his first National Award after a remarkable career spanning over three decades. President Droupadi Murmu confered the 'King Of Bollywood' with the National Film Award for the Best Actor in a Leading Role for his film Jawan.

For the unversed, SRK shared the 'Best Actor' award with Vikrant Massey, who was honoured for his role in 12th Fail. The ceremony also recognised other talented individuals and films, including Rani Mukerji, who won the Best Actress award for her impactful performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. The Best Feature Film award went to 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, while Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery took home the Best Hindi Film award. Regional films also received recognition, with Bhagavanth Kesari winning Best Telugu Film and Parking winning Best Tamil Film.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently immersed in filming his upcoming action drama, King, a multi-starrer that boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Abhay Verma and Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji. The film will also stars Suhana Khan in pivotal role. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies, the film is anticipated to hit theaters in 2026.

Khan's son Aryan Khan has made his directorial debut with The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, a Netflix series that premiered on September 18. The film, which stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Sahher Bambba, among others, has garnered positive reviews from both audiences and critics alike. Shah Rukh Khan has also been involved in other projects, such as providing voice-over work for the series and making a cameo appearance.
