Dharmendra Passes Away At 89: Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025. The veteran star had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier in the month due to ongoing health concerns. After showing signs of recovery, he was moved back to his home, where his family shared that he was doing better. Sadly, on the morning of 24 November, Dharmendra breathed his last at his residence in Juhu, leaving the entire film industry and millions of fans heartbroken. His final rites were held at the Pawan Hans Crematorium, where close family members, friends and several well-known personalities from the film fraternity gathered to pay their last respects.
Hema Malini Remembers Dharmendra With Heartfelt Posts
Following his passing, Hema Malini shared a deeply emotional tribute on Instagram. She posted a beautiful picture of herself with Dharmendra and wrote, “Some lovely family moments… simply treasured photos. I know it is a surfeit of photos but these have not been published and my emotions are unfolding as I see these.” In another post, Hema Malini shared a still from their film Kinara, featuring the song ‘Ek Hi Khwab’. She recalled the special memories linked to the film and mentioned that it was directed by Gulzar, with music by R. D. Burman and vocals by Bhupinder Singh. Fans quickly filled the comments section with messages of love and condolences. Many praised the couple’s timeless charm while others expressed their disbelief that the legendary actor was no longer with them.

Dharmendra’s Family And Personal Life
Dharmendra, often called Bollywood’s He-Man, was cherished for his charming screen presence and warm personality. He is survived by his first wife Prakash Kaur and their four children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeeta, and Vijeta. He is also survived by his second wife Hema Malini and their daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Dharmendra and Hema Malini became one of Bollywood’s most iconic pairs after working together in several films during the 1970s. Dharmendra’s Upcoming Work
Despite his age, Dharmendra continued to work and was set to appear in Sriram Raghavan’s film Ikkis. The movie features Varun Dhawan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Agastya Nanda, and Aadyanshi Kapoor in key roles. Set during the 1971 war, the film is set to hit theatres on December 25. Dharmendra’s fans are eager to see him grace the screen one last time.
