Dharmendra Death News: Bollywood has lost one of its legends, the 'He-Man' Dharmendra, who tragically passed away at 89. His sudden death on November 24th has sent shockwaves through the film industry, according to IANS. The veteran actor had been battling a prolonged illness and was initially hospitalised at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital before continuing medical treatment at home. He is survived by a large family, including Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Abhay Deol, Karan Deol, and Rajveer Deol. Bollywood celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Suniel Shetty, and others, paid emotional tributes on social media. PM Narendra Modi also shared a heartfelt message on X mourning the loss.
Akshay Kumar took to X (Formerly Twitter) and shared an old picture with the late actor with the caption, “Growing up, Dharmendra ji was the hero every boy wanted to be…our industry’s original He-Man. Thank you for inspiring generations. You’ll live on through your films and the love you spread. Om Shanti.” Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi stated Dharmendra’s dismise as an ‘End Of An Era.’ His post read, “The passing of Dharmendra Ji marks the end of an era in Indian cinema. He was an iconic film personality, a phenomenal actor who brought charm and depth to every role he played. The manner in which he played diverse roles struck a chord with countless people. Dharmendra Ji was equally admired for his simplicity, humility and warmth. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with his family, friends and innumerable fans. Om Shanti.”

The industry has lost a legend… and we’ve lost someone who shaped the very soul of our cinema. Rest in peace, Dharam ji. Om Shanti." Furthermore, Suniel Shetty shared a vintage picture of Dharmendra on X with the caption, “Strength wrapped in grace. Stardom wrapped in warmth. Heroism wrapped in a pure heart. Late actor Dharmendra’s final movie Ikkis is set to hit theatres on December 25. The makers of Ikkis movie released the first look poster of Dharmendra today, calling him a ‘Timeless Legend’. The veteran actor will play the role of M L Khetarpal in Sriram Raghavan's directorial. Alongside Dharmendra, the war drama also features Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia in key roles.
