Hera Pheri 3 Update: There is some bad news for all the fans of the Hera Pheri movie franchise, Paresh Rawal has exited from the third instalment. The actor, who played the role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, confirmed the news of his exit from the movie. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal had some creative differences with the makers after which he stepped down from the project. A source told the portal, “There were creative differences between the makers and Paresh Rawal. As a result, the actor decided to step down from the film.” When the portal contacted Paresh Rawal about the reports, the actor confirmed that he is no longer part of the project. He told Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, it’s a fact.” 

Paresh Rawal’s character, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte from the first two parts of Hera Pheri, has a separate fan base till now. His performance in the franchise remained evergreen. After Rawal’s exit, the other two actors- Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, are still part of the movie. Hera Pheri 3 is being directed by Priyadarshan, who directed the first part. In an earlier report by Hindustan Times, it was revealed that the shooting of Hera Pheri 3 has begun. A source told the portal, “Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot today with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles.” 

Hera Pheri was originally released in theatres in 2000. The movie became a huge hit, earning Rs 21.4 crore at that time. The movie also stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Tabu and Gulshan Grover in key roles. The second instalment Phir Hera Pheri was released in 2006. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal reprised their roles in Hera Pheri 2. Both films are streaming on the popular OTT platform Prime Video.
