Sonu Sood is currently under major scrutiny after his alleged shirtless bike riding video from Himachal Pradesh’s Spiti is going viral on social media. He received major backlash online for not wearing a helmet while riding. This created a big controversy, followed by a statement by the state police. In a social media post, Himachal Pradesh police stated that if the violations are confirmed, then the District police will take legal action. Himachal Pradesh Police tweeted, “A video allegedly showing a Bollywood actor violating traffic rules in Lahaul-Spiti is under investigation. Initial info: Video may be from 2023 Verification underway by DySP HQ Keylong District Police will take legal action if violations are confirmed.”
Sonu Sood is yet to make any statement about this video. But people on the post reacted and urged the police to arrest Sood. The video features a red caption, which reads “Ye Spiti hai... yahan sirf asli log chalte hain (This is Spiti. Only real walk this land).”

On the other hand, Spiti police earlier hinted that the video might have been recorded in 2023. In its statement on X, it wrote “A video is going viral on social media in which a Bollywood actor is seen violating traffic rules in Lahaul-Spiti district. According to preliminary information, the video appears to be from the year 2023. The task of investigating the authenticity has been handed over to DySP Headquarters, Kyelang.”
“Whatever necessary action is required as per the law, it will be taken by the district police. District Police Lahaul-Spiti appeals to all citizens and tourists to follow traffic rules and adopt disciplined and responsible behaviour,” it read.

Notably, the actor in 2023 shared a similar kind of video on Instagram where he was riding a bike. It was a BTS video from his last film, Fateh. The film was directed by Sood himself. It was released in theatres in January this year, but could not leave a mark at the box office.
