Homebound Trailer: Finally, the much-awaited trailer of Homebound starring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa, is here. Directed by Masaan filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan, the film created waves at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). From receiving a standing ovation to clinching the second runner-up spot for the prestigious International People's Choice Award, Homebound has already made its mark. The story revolves around two childhood friends from a small North Indian village who aspire to join the police force, a job that promises them the dignity they've long been denied due to caste discrimination. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film unfolds a gripping tale of friendship against all odds and the price of ambition.

Homebound Trailer Unveiled

Taking to Instagram, the makers of Homebound treated fans to the trailer, offering glimpses into its powerful storyline. The clip introduces the lives of Ishaan and Vishal, two friends with big dreams and as they inch closer to achieving them, mounting desperation threatens the bond that holds them together. Despite this, they stick together. Janhvi also appears in a powerful role, adding her charm to Ghaywan's gripping narrative. All three characters face caste, religious and gender disparities as they navigate life, dreams and friendships. Apart from TIFF, Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound also received an overwhelming response from audiences at its world premiere at the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, including a 9-minute standing ovation. After garnering acclaim at international film festivals, the film is set to hit the theatres in India on September 26, 2025. It is backed by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharma Productions, in association with legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who serves as an executive producer on the film.
