What are Housefull 5A and 5B?: Housefull 5 featuring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh has been released, but with a twist. This time, the makers of the franchise decided to produce a thriller-comedy with a murder mystery plot. Tarun Mansukhani's directorial film, Housefull 5, has been released in two versions, not by language or viewing format, but by its climax. The story revolves around a murder on a cruise ship. Ranjeet (a wealthy billionaire) is killed after announcing that he will leave all his money to his successor Jolly. The main twist is that there are three Jollys present on the cruise along with their girlfriends (Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri). The story shows all six of them as suspects of Ranjeet's murder.

Housefull 5’s main difference between the 5A and 5B versions is that both movies have a different climax. According to the makers, both films have the same script, apart from the ending, where each film will have a different murderer. Housefull 5 has a 140-minute runtime with the first two hours being the same, and the last 20 minutes being different. The film was released today, causing a lot of thrill among the fans. People who have already watched the movie shared their experiences through social media handles.

According to people’s reactions, 5A has a clear resolution, and 5B comes close to replicating it as well, but it did seem forced to a few. Recently, a video was posted by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment showing Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh asking fans to go and watch both versions in order to enjoy and find different murderers.

Why there was a need for two versions?

The sole reason for making two versions of this movie was to maximise profit earnings. The makers of the film thought that if people liked the 5A version, they may return to the theatres to watch 5B as well. During promotions, the producer of the film, Sajid Nadiadwala, also shared that it has been his dream to make such kind of a movie.

Housefull 5 has an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Johny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chunky Panday, Dino Morea, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma.
