The Ba***ds of Bollywood has become one of the top-ranked shows on Netflix. The show has been directed by Shah Rukh Khan's son and director Aryan Khan, marking the begining of his journing in the film industry. It stars Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba in lead roles, whose performances are being appreciated by the audience and critics alike. Recently, in an exclusive conversation with Sahher Bambba, who portrayed nepo kid Karishma Talvar, shared how her role made her reflect on the privileges and criticisms that come with being a nepo kid.

While playing Karishma Tanvar in the Netflix show, Sahher Bambba realised that being a star kid comes with its own struggles, like living up to expectations and proving oneself beyond their famous parent's shadow. She understood that while her own challenges differ, Karishma's journey to establish herself as an actor is genuine and tough.

Sahher said, "When I started out, I would often think that, you know, star kids have it easy and, you know, they get opportunities easy. But genuinely, if I'm telling you, and if I'm being very honest, the first biggest realisation that I felt after playing Karishma Talwar is that, you know, they also have their own struggles and often people just are very dismissive about their struggles."

"But even Karishma, for that matter, in the show, she's really trying to cement herself as an actor. She's trying to launch herself and, you know, make a debut, make an acting debut and away from a superstar father's shadow. So that's also a different kind of a pressure. Of course, a Seher Bamba's struggles versus a Karishma Talwar's struggles are very different. But not to say that Karishma Talwar has it very easy in life either," she further added.

Sahher Bamba calls Aryan Khan a director with 'vision'

During the conversation, Bamba also talked about The Ba***ds of Bollywood director Aryan Khan. She described Aryan as having a "mischievous childlike energy" with a clear vision for his scenes and characters. She praised his friendly and communicative approach on set.

She said, "He has a very childlike energy, also very mischievous childlike energy. So, he would oscillate between being that and then being, the serious filmmaker who wants exactly what he wants. And he had such a clear vision about his scenes, about his characters that so many times, we would do so many takes and retakes and he would be like that, not just with us, but even with like Bobby Sir and other veteran senior actors, because he wanted exactly what he wanted. But of course, the environment on set was amazing. It was very friendly. We could tell him about what we think. He could tell us about what he thinks and it was very communicative and very well received by him."
