Hridayapoorvam Day 3 Box Office: Hridayapoorvam seems to be struggling to pick up momentum during its extended four-day opening weekend. After the massive success of Thudarum, fans had anticipated another strong run at the box office for Lalettan’s new outing. While the film has received a warm response and word-of-mouth is mostly favourable, the numbers at the ticket counters haven’t shown the upward swing that was expected. Despite positive reviews from both critics and general audiences, the growth in daily earnings has been limited, leaving trade experts concerned about the film’s long-term performance.

The Malayalam comedy-drama Hridayapoorvam opened on a decent note, collecting Rs 3.25 crore on its first day. However, on day two the film saw a dip, managing Rs 2.5 crore. On Saturday, which usually brings a boost thanks to the weekend crowd, the collection only slightly improved to Rs 2.85 crore. Ideally, trade trackers had hoped for the film to cross the Rs 4 crore mark on Saturday, but the numbers fell short of expectations. In total, Hridayapoorvam has made Rs 8.6 crore net in India over three days. Including GST, its gross domestic figure is Rs 10.14 crore. Given that the film’s budget is around Rs 30 crore, this is a decent start but not as impressive as fans and trade analysts had expected. The lack of a sharp rise in collections over the weekend is a cause for concern, with many now watching closely to see how the film performs in the coming weekdays.

Meanwhile, with its Rs 2.85 crore Saturday collection, Hridayapoorvam has recorded the fifth-biggest first Saturday for Mohanlal since the pandemic. The figure is lower than his courtroom drama Neru, which managed Rs 3 crore on its first Saturday. At the top of the list stands L2: Empuraan with a massive Rs 13.25 crore, followed by Thudarum at Rs 8.6 crore.

Interestingly, Kalyani Priyadarshan Lokah Chapter 1 has turned out to be the top choice for viewers despite the buzz around Hridayapoorvam. According to the latest report in Sacnilk, Lokah collected Rs 4.94 crore on its third day of release, as per early estimates. This brings the total collection of the film to Rs 11.64 crore. Lokah opened to Rs 2.7 crore on Thursday and showed growth on Friday with Rs 4 crore due to a wave of positive word-of-mouth on social media.
