Hrithik Roshan’s father and popular Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan underwent a neck angioplasty in Mumbai and is in the recovery stage. The news comes after recent reports that Roshan was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on July 16 after his health deteriorated. His daughter, Sunaina Roshan, shared his health update and stated that Roshan is perfectly fine now. As per his daughter’s statement, Rakesh Roshan is currently resting. In an interview with Amar Ujala Digital, Rakesh said, “Yes, papa had an angioplasty in his neck, but he’s perfectly fine now. There’s nothing to worry about. He’s resting.”
As per the India Forum report, Hrithik Roshan, his rumoured girlfriend Saba Azad and his sister Sunaina were constantly present in the hospital. Sources told the portal, "Rakesh Roshan has now been shifted from the ICU to a general ward, and his condition is stable."
Earlier in 2019, Rakesh Roshan was diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. The surgery was successful and after underwent regular treatment and check-ups.
On the work front, Roshan is known for his directorial movies Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai and Krrish. The director was supposed to helm Krrish 4, but it has been handed over to Hrithik. With Krrish 4, the film will mark the directorial debut of Hrithik. The superhero movie is currently in the pre-production stage. The makers have not made any official posts or announcements yet.
