Ikk Kudi New Release Date: The state of Punjab is currently grappling with devastating floods that have brought widespread destruction across several districts. Triggered by the swelling of the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers, along with seasonal rivulets overflowing after relentless rainfall, the situation has left the state in crisis. According to an official bulletin released on Tuesday, at least 30 people have tragically lost their lives while more than 3.5 lakh residents have been affected. Homes have been damaged, livelihoods disrupted, and thousands have been displaced. In light of this humanitarian crisis, actress and producer Shehnaaz Gill has decided to postpone the release of her much-awaited Punjabi film Ikk Kudi.

The film, which marks Shehnaaz Gill’s debut as a producer, was originally scheduled to hit cinemas on 19th September 2025. However, the release has now been rescheduled to 31st October 2025. Announcing the decision on her social media, Shehnaaz wrote, “The entire team of Ikk Kudi, has decided to postpone the release of the film to 31st October 2025. Due to the unexpected and severe flood situation across several regions of Punjab, we feel it is our responsibility to stand with our people during these challenging times.” Shehnaaz further added in her statement, “The Ikk Kudi movie team is in touch with various NGOs and, with God’s grace, will do our best to support Punjab. About Ikk Kudi Movie

The Punjabi movie itself carries a strong cultural narrative, set across two generations, and follows the lives of two young women as they navigate the challenges of marriage and personal identity. Produced under Kaushal Joshi’s Raaya Picturez, Shehnaaz Gill Productions, and Amarjit Singh Saron’s Amor Film Presents, Ikk Kudi was officially announced in November 2023. The cast includes Nirmal Rishi, Harby Sangha, and Udaybir Sandhu in significant roles alongside Shehnaaz.

Meanwhile, the floods continue to devastate Punjab. Reports confirm that around 1,400 villages across 12 districts have been severely impacted, affecting more than 3,54,000 people. Nearly 20,000 residents have been evacuated from high-risk areas. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann both visited affected villages on Tuesday to review relief efforts. During his visit to Ferozepur, Chief Minister Mann, visibly moved by the plight of villagers, remarked that Punjab has always stood by the nation in times of need and expressed hope that the country would now stand by Punjab in its hour of crisis.
