Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur might be the newest couple on the block as rumours are swirling in town. Their recent public appearances together have caught fans’ attention, and social media is buzzing with speculation about a possible romance. It all started on August 1, when Dhanush was seen attending Mrunal’s glamorous birthday party. A video from the celebration, which quickly went viral, showed the actor holding Mrunal’s hand during what seemed to be a private moment between the two. This intimate interaction immediately sparked curiosity online.

Earlier that day, Dhanush was also spotted arriving in Mumbai to attend the special screening of Son of Sardaar 2, a film that stars Mrunal alongside Ajay Devgn. A video from the event, widely shared on X (formerly Twitter), showed the two actors deep in conversation. At one point, Mrunal leaned in close to whisper something to Dhanush, leading fans to wonder if something more than friendship is brewing. “Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur are dating?” read the caption of one such post. 

Meanwhile, the video drew a flurry of reactions from fans, with many sharing their thoughts. While some felt there might be subtle signs pointing towards a relationship, others believed they were simply good friends. One fan commented, “Unconfirmed, but there are some hints,” while another wrote, “I think they are just friends.” A few users expressed surprise, with one saying, “Really? I can’t believe it.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the pair has been seen together. On July 3, Mrunal attended a party hosted by writer-producer Kanika Dhillon to celebrate Dhanush’s upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein. In pictures shared by Kanika on Instagram, both Dhanush and Mrunal can be seen smiling warmly in a group photo with the film’s team in the background. Kanika’s caption read, “Our hearts are full! Our OG Raanjhanaa in the house Dhanush – we love you! With friends old and new – big smiles, bigger hearts! Grateful for the memories.” So far, neither Dhanush nor Mrunal has addressed the rumours, leaving fans to continue speculating about the nature of their bond.

Dhanush’s Work And Personal Front

On the personal front, the Tamil actor was previously married to Aishwaryaa, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. The couple parted ways in 2022 after 18 years of marriage. Professionally, Dhanush will next be seen in Tere Ishk Mein alongside Kriti Sanon, scheduled to release on November 28.

On the other hand, Mrunal’s latest movie Son of Sardaar 2 released in cinemas on August 1.The movie has managed to maintain its position at the Indian box office. Alongside Mrunal and Ajay Devgn the movie also stars Ravi Kishan Sanjay Mishra, late Mukul Dev, Kubbra Sait and others.
