Jacqueline Fernandez, known for her strong screen presence and captivating dance moves, is reportedly set to star in a Telugu action film directed by V Jayashankarr. This rumour has created considerable excitement among Telugu cinema enthusiasts and her fans. Although her dubbed films have been released in Telugu-speaking regions, this new development has generated even more buzz for the 39-year-old actress. Fernandez's strong performances in movies such as Race, Welcome, Housefull, and Fateh are said to have caught the director's attention and led to her casting as the lead in the Telugu movie. 

Director V Jayashankarr has reportedly developed an action and VFX-heavy story. According to a report in 123Telugu, “It’s an intense script that’s filled with action and suspense… something Jacqueline relished taking up. The story is loaded with high-octane action sequences, and the actress too responded in affirmative.” Furthermore, the reports suggest that since she has a Pan India appeal, the filmmakers are planning to cater the film to all five languages which includes Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. If all goes well, the project may go on floors soon. 

Meanwhile, reports further stated that Jayashankarr narrated the script to Jacqueline and she was fascinated with her character as it unfolds into a new narrative. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be used in the movie to enhance the visual appeal and create an immersive experience for the audiences is one of the surprising elements in the script. After the script narration the reports claimed that Jacqueline got excited to take up the role as it involved serious makeover with intense physical transformation. This movie will be first-of-its-kind in genre for the Kick actress and once she gets all the paper confirmations, reports indicate that Jacqueline is eager to go ahead.

Jacqueline Fernandez Money Laundering Case

The Delhi High Court recently dismissed a plea by the Bollywood actress to quash an FIR against her in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case. The case involves alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The Murder 2 actress is accused in the money laundering case lodged against Chandrasekhar and has been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate. The dismissed plea also sought to quash a second supplementary chargesheet from the Enforcement Directorate and ongoing proceedings in a Delhi trial court. Delhi Police initially booked Chandrasekhar for allegedly defrauding the spouses of former Ranbaxy promoters, Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh, of Rs 200 crore.

Jacqueline Fernandez’s Work Front

On the work front, the Drive actress was last seen in Housefull 5. Alongside her the movie also starred Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Chitrangada Singh and Nargis Fakhri among others in key roles. The comedy movie did significantly good at the box office. Up next, she is set to star in upcoming comedy movie Welcome To The Jungle. Directed by Ahmed Khan the movie is the third installment in Welcome franchise. The movie also features Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani and others and is set to hit theatres this Christmas.
