Is Nawazuddin Siddiqui Teaming Up With Mission Impossible Star Ilia Volok For High-Octane Heist Thriller Faraar?

Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui is reportedly all set to headline an international action-heist thriller titled Faraar. He will be seen sharing screen space with Hollywood actor Ilia Volok, best known for his roles in Mission: Impossible, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Indiana Jones. The film promises a gripping mix of emotion, intellect, and adrenaline-pumping action, marking a new chapter in Nawazuddin’s versatile career. After gearing up for his upcoming Diwali release Thama, Nawazuddin is preparing for another exciting transformation but this time as a Physics professor caught in a world of crime and moral conflict. 

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Faraar will reportedly explore the tension between intellect and instinct, blending psychological depth with large-scale heist sequences. Directed by Kushagra Sharma, Faraar aims to merge Indian emotional storytelling with the sophistication of global thrillers. Speaking about his vision, Sharma shared, “Casting Ilia Volok opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui was a creative choice to bring back the essence of a powerful, layered villain. Both actors bring authenticity, depth, and unpredictability qualities essential to make this story resonate internationally.”

Meanwhile, Ilia Volok joins the project as the film’s main antagonist, locking horns with Nawazuddin’s character in what is described as a “battle of minds.” Known for his commanding presence, Volok’s character will redefine the modern villain complex, cerebral, and emotionally charged. The film’s cast also features Nimisha Sajayan, who recently impressed audiences with Dabba Cartel. Her inclusion adds further intrigue to an already strong ensemble.

Adding an international touch to Faraar, Iván Lacámara, the acclaimed Spanish composer behind Netflix’s Money Heist, has been brought on board to create the film’s background score. His signature tension-driven music is expected to elevate the movie’s emotional and thrilling atmosphere. Director Sharma said, “With the Money Heist composer designing the soundtrack, the audience can expect a soundscape that heightens every emotion and keeps the thrill alive. Faraar is designed to be a cinematic experience that’s as intense as it is emotional.”
