Dude OTT Release: The Tamil romantic comedy Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, has taken the box office by storm since its Diwali release. Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the film opened to packed theatres and positive reviews from both critics and audiences. With its mix of humour, romance, and emotion, Dude has quickly become one of the season’s biggest crowd-pleasers. The film is estimated to have been made on a budget of Rs 25–30 crore and is expected to recover its cost soon, given its steady theatrical run and growing word of mouth.
As for the OTT release, Dude will reportedly stream on Netflix after completing its theatrical run. The streaming giant reportedly acquired the digital rights for a massive Rs 20–25 crore. The film is expected to premiere on the platform on November 14, 2025, and will likely be available in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, to reach a wider audience. According to reports, Dude collected around Rs 10 crore on its second day, a strong performance considering the competition from other festive releases such as Bison and Diesel.
