Amish Tripathi Clears Air Of Ranveer Singh Acquiring The Immortals Of Meluha Rights

Many of the rumours suggested that Ranveer Singh had bought the film rights to the famous book series The Immortals of Meluha by Amish Tripathi. The books offer a modern fantasy take on the story of Shiva, a tribal leader who becomes a saviour.

However, the author himself has stepped in to clarify the situation. While Amish Tripathi praised Ranveer Singh’s acting skills, he denied that any deal has been signed. According to NDTV, he stated, "The rights for the Shiva Trilogy are with me, and nothing has been signed with anyone as yet. Ranveer is one of the finest Indian actors ever, in my opinion. I am a big fan of his. But this news is not true."

Dhurandhar 2 OTT Release

On the other hand, fans can soon watch Ranveer Singh’s latest hit, Dhurandhar 2, from the comfort of their homes. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Bollywood movie has been a huge success in theatres since its release on March 19, 2026.

Dhurandhar 2 is now heading to streaming platforms, here are the details:

  • JioHotstar: The theatrical version will be available in India starting May 14, 2026.
  • Netflix: A special Director’s Cut will release on May 15, 2026. This version is expected to be nearly 3 hours and 52 minutes long, featuring unseen footage and longer scenes that were not shown in cinemas.
