Fans of Samantha Ruth Prabhu have a reason to celebrate! The actress, who has been in the news recently for her rumoured relationship with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, has confirmed that she will soon begin work on her next Telugu film, Maa Inti Bangaram. Maa Inti Bangaram marks Samantha’s third collaboration with filmmaker Nandini Reddy after their successful projects Jabardasth (2013) and Oh Baby (2019). The action thriller was first announced in April 2024 to coincide with the actress’s birthday. However, production was delayed due to her busy schedule and other commitments. Originally, the film was supposed to be directed by a newcomer, but plans changed, and Nandini Reddy took over the director’s chair.
During a Q&A session with her fans on Instagram, Samantha was asked about her next Telugu project. She responded with excitement, saying, “Finally, I have an answer to this question. Maa Inti Bangaram is finally starting this month.” The announcement quickly went viral among her followers, many of whom expressed their happiness to see her returning to film sets after a long break. The first look poster of Maa Inti Bangaram, unveiled in 2024, showed Samantha dressed in a saree, wearing a mangalsutra, and holding a gun, with blood on her face and henna on her hands. The powerful image hinted at an emotional yet intense storyline, generating significant buzz at the time.

Apart from playing the lead role, Samantha will also produce the film under her own banner. Earlier this year, she made her debut as a producer with Shubham, a horror comedy that became a surprise box office hit. Talking about her production journey, Samantha said, “I started Tralala Moving Pictures to support content-driven films and new talent. Having put up so much experience, I believe that I can take the production plunge to bring out rooted stories that resonate with the audiences.”

Samantha was last seen in the 2023 Telugu films Shaakuntalam and Kushi. In 2024, she appeared in a cameo role in Shubham, the film she also produced. She was also part of Prime Video’s Citadel: Honey Bunny, directed by Raj & DK, and is currently working with the same duo on the Netflix series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. The actress, who revealed her myositis diagnosis in 2022 after her divorce from Naga Chaitanya in 2021, has since become an advocate for wellness and self-care. She has invested in several wellness brands and often speaks about her personal growth journey.
