Pathaan 2 Update: Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited Pathaan 2 seems to be in the works. Pathaan is one of the biggest spy films and special for SRK fans, as it marked the return of Bollywood's King Khan to the screen after a four-year hiatus following the 2018 film Zero. SRK recently visited Dubai for the launch of a tower named after him. During his appearance at a real estate event, an unexpected announcement by the developer about Pathaan 2 instantly went viral, sparking a wave of excitement across social media. Videos from the event are now surfacing online.

Is Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan 2 Finally Happening?

During the event, Shah Rukh Khan was seen sharing the stage with the developer, who announced that Pathaan 2 is in the works. A video from the launch, which is widely being shared by fans online, shows the developer saying, “Koi blockbuster movie hoti hai toh uska ek sequel hota hai, am I right? Like ‘Pathaan’. ‘Pathaan 2’ aa rahi hai. Toh koi movie aap dekho, toh uska sequel hoga."

A viral post on X revealed, "ALL TIME GROSSER & the HIGHEST GROSSER from the Spy Universe to gets SEQUEL - #Pathaan2 #ShahRukhKhan movie likely to start next year after #Alpha release."

Several fans connected the sequel announcement with upcoming projects in Yash Raj Films’ expanding Spy Universe, especially Alia Bhatt's Alpha. One X user wrote, "Alpha mein post-credit scene SRK diya toh samajh lena ki Pathaan 2 confirm hai." Another user commented, "It's Not CONFIRMED...YET All will be confirmed after #Alpha performance at box office..."

The shooting of Pathaan 2 is expected to begin next year, with Chile set to be the major international shooting location. This discussion about filming in Chile comes after Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font’s recent visit to India.

According to a Mid-Day report, filmmaker-actor Anshuman Jha, who was part of the meeting, revealed, “There are concrete conversations of Pathaan 2 by Yash Raj Films and Lakadbaggha 3 being shot in Chile next year. I hope we help His Excellency’s vision of bringing the beauty of Chile to the world through our cinema."

In January 2023, Shah Rukh returned to the silver screen with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan. He donned an action hero avatar, and his performance broke several records at the box office while earning awards and accolades. The film also starred Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and others. Salman Khan also made a special appearance in the movie.

However, an official announcement of Pathaan 2 is yet to be made by Shah Rukh Khan or the makers.
