Actor Aditi Rao Hydari has joined the list of celebrities raising concerns about the misuse of identities on social media platforms. The actress shared a note on Sunday after discovering that an unknown individual had been impersonating her on WhatsApp. She revealed that the impostor was using her photos and contacting photographers to discuss fake photoshoots. Aditi alerted fans to be careful and not engage with that number. She also shared WhatsApp details of the impersonator.
On Sunday, Aditi took to her Instagram and shared a note along with a screenshot of the impersonator. Her post read, "I wanted to flag something that a few people brought to my notice today. Someone has been pretending to be me on WhatsApp, using my pictures and messaging photographers about ‘photoshoots’. It isn’t me. I don’t reach out like this, and I don’t use any personal number for work. Everything always goes through my team."
The actress added, “Please be careful and don’t engage with that number. If you come across anything odd, just let my team know. Thank you to all those who have my back and are so protective and kind."

Soon after her post, Aditi's fans and industry friends expressed their concern in the comments section.

Her portrayal and gajgamini walk became a viral sensation, earning her widespread acclaim. She will be next seen in Parivarik Manu Ranjan. Set against the backdrop of Lucknow, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and directed by Varun V Sharma.
Aditi will also star in Imtiaz Ali's upcoming Netflix series O Saathi Re. She will be bringing a modern story with a vintage heart to the screen alongside Avinash Tiwary and Arjun Rampal.
