Jacqueline Fernandez recently lost her mother, Kim Fernandez, on April 6 this year. The actress is going through a tough situation in life. Amid the difficult situation, Jacqueline opened up about personal struggles, the emotional strength that she got from her parents and her Hollywood debut. The Kick actress shared that everything an actor has to suffer in the industry is also faced by parents too. She also emphasised the parents’ support in difficult times. The star further mentioned her mother was very much proud of her and always asked her to keep dreaming in life.
Jacqueline Fernandez, who was under major controversy due to her alleged connection with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, opened up about the challenges she faced in her life. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Jacqueline said, “What we go through as actors in the industry, our parents also go through it. Everything, it’s out there. It takes so much for parents to still support you through everything. My mother was always proud of me and she would always want me to keep striving and dreaming.”
The actress recalled an important moment in her life when her late mother and father flew to Italy she was shooting for Kill ‘Em All 2 with her childhood idol, Jean-Claude Van Damme. She added, “I just couldn’t believe. I was doing lines with him (Jean-Claude Van Damme), working with him. He was my icon. I think my entire family. We had this laser disc. My dad was hellbent that if we have to watch Jean Claude, we have to watch him on a laser disc. And cut to, I am on a set with him in Italy. We helped each other with lines. My parents came down and they were like, ‘We love our daughter. She made us proud.’ Life came full circle. At moments like this you feel it was all worth it–the struggle, the challenges, everything.”
Coming back to the money laundering case of Jacqueline Fernandez related to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Delhi High Court reserved its order on the actress’ petition contesting ED complaints under PMLA. The case is about the allegations made against her that she receives lavish gifts from Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The gifts were allegedly part of Sukesh’s Rs 200 crore money laundering case.
Jacqueline Fernandez worked in movies like Murder 2, Kick, Judwaa 2, A Flying Jatt, Housefull, Roy, A Gentleman to name a few. Jacqueline Fernandez will be next seen in big films such as Housefull 5 and Welcome to the Jungle. The actress recently appeared at the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
