Indian cricket king Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have been living in London for quite some time, away from Mumbai’s bustling life and the constant limelight. Their move, prompted by a desire for a more private upbringing for their children, Vamika and Akaay, allows them to navigate everyday life with a comforting degree of anonymity. But the couple makes sure to stay in touch with their friends and enjoy a friendly get-together with them every now and then. Similarly, the adorable couple met the Indian women’s cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues a while ago at a cafe and enjoyed a long chit chat session, which eventually led to them being kicked out of the restaurant.

Jemimah Rodrigues recently appeared on an episode of Mashable India, and shared a hilarious story of their meetup. The Indian cricketer mentioned during the interview that she and her teammate Smriti Mandhana wanted to seek Virat’s advice on batting and hence, wanted to meet him. The duo invited him to a cafe in the hotel where both the men’s and women’s teams stayed. Virat’s wife Anushka Sharma also accompanied him.

Jemimah shared that for the first half hour, the cricketers talked about their game. “He actually told Smriti and me that ‘you both have the power to change women’s cricket, and I can see that happening,’” she exclaimed. She also mentioned that after some time, their conversation shifted to life and several other things, apart from cricket. Their chit-chat went on for nearly four hours.

As everybody enjoyed their meet-up, Jemimah revealed that they had to leave the restaurant, only because of a hilarious reason. “It felt like a few long-lost friends who met and spoke. The only reason we stopped was because the cafe staff kicked us out,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, following the birth of their second child, Akaay in February 2024, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma decided to relocate to London, driven by a desire for a quieter life. The couple and their children are frequently spotted enjoying the city's simple pleasures, like strolling through the parks and streets. These casual outings are often captured by fans and shared on their social media handles.
