JFF 2025: The Jagran Film Festival 2025 is not just an event but it’s a unique platform where young aspirants dreaming of being actors or directors can learn from film stars. After grand displays in Prayagraj and Banaras, the festival now moves to Meerut, where it promises to leave its mark. Spanning eight states and 14 cities, JFF 2025 kicked off in Delhi on 4th September, and has steadily travelled across regions. Unlike many festivals, Jagran gives space to films that often never reach mainstream cinemas. In Meerut, the festival will run on 3 and 4 October, featuring screenings and guest appearances by well-known stars sharing their journeys.

On 3rd October, the festival opens with His Story of Itihas, released on 30 May 2025. The event will also host actress Ahana Kumra, producer Radheshyam Peepalwar, and Sharad Mittal, who will share their experiences with audiences. The next day, 4 October, will be equally star-studded. Actress Arhaan Patil, Hiranya Ojha and Suhrita Das will hold a discussion about their film Tu Meri Puri Kahaani, exploring the stories that “refuse to stay silent.” In addition, well-known television and film actor Anoop Soni, famed for hosting Crime Patrol, will come to the stage for a special interaction with fans.

Meanwhile, the screenings in Meerut will be diverse and thought-provoking. Apart from His Story of Itihas, films such as Agar Magar Kintu Lekin Parantu, Raznigandha: Achiever Story – Phule, and others will be shown. The festival’s closing evening will screen Papa, directed by Prithviraj Das Gupta. This year, JFF has widened its scope. Though earlier the festival catered mostly to viewers aged 18 and above, its new tagline is “Good Cinema for Everyone.” To match that, morning slots will now include special sessions for children, showing short, animated, and feature films.
