JFF 2025: The Jagran Film Festival (JFF) 2025, which began on 4th September, has been travelling across India, creating excitement among film lovers in every city it visits. After Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Prayagraj, the festival is now headed to Varanasi, where it will be held from 26th to 28th September. Bringing together some of the finest films and biggest stars, JFF continues to be an important cultural event that not only entertains but also teaches the youth about cinema and its power. At each stop, the festival has been drawing large crowds, eager to watch films, interact with filmmakers, and listen to discussions. Stars such as Manoj Bajpayee, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Kajol have already been part of the festival, making appearances and sharing insights about their experiences in the industry.

One of the films to be shown in Varanasi is Tu Meri Poori Kahani, directed by Suhrita Das. The story follows a young woman who chases fame to protect her mother’s honour. However, her pursuit of stardom leads her into a struggle between a powerful studio head and the singer she truly loves. In the end, she learns that real happiness lies in love and acceptance, not fame and fortune.

Another highlight of JFF 2025 in Varanasi will be its special children’s section, titled “JFF Little Lights – A Celebration of Young Voices.” Traditionally, JFF has focused on films for adult audiences, but this year the organisers have made sure to include younger viewers as well. This special package of films will run in the mornings and will include short films, animations, and features designed around themes that children connect with friendship, courage, imagination, adventure, and empathy.

One of the films to be screened is Dostbook, directed by Anil Kumar Anand. Produced by Delhi’s Vivekanand School, it is scheduled to be shown on 27th September. The film is more than just a children’s story, it teaches important values like perseverance, discipline, and goal setting. By presenting these lessons in a creative way, the school hopes to inspire young audiences and encourage them to look at life’s challenges with a positive spirit.

Another children’s film lined up is Magical Plant. This story revolves around two ten-year-olds, Subbu and Maggie, who visit their classmate Montu’s house. They soon discover that Montu’s family wealth comes from a magical plant that his father stole from his employer. Tempted by greed, Subbu steals a branch of the plant, leading to unexpected consequences. As the children grapple with the results of their actions, the film highlights themes of honesty, choices, and friendship.
