The globally acclaimed Kpop group, BTS, is renowned for its groundbreaking tracks, dynamic performances, and its strong fan base worldwide. The members of the group, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, RM, Jhope, V and Jin, after creating a wave in the music industry, also shone brightly during the military service period in accordance with South Korea's mandatory enlistment law. During the course of their duty, the singers temporarily paused all their group activities and focused solely on fulfilling their duties. Here's a list of their remarkable achievements during this period that made the fans admire them even more.
BTS members' service began in December 2022 and ended in June 2025 after each member completed their duties with excellence. During that period, each member took on different responsibilities.

BTS Jin
Jin is the eldest member of the band, who joined the band in 2013 as a vocalist. He joined the military service in December 2022 as an assistant drill instructor in the 5th Infantry Division. He achieved significant recognition by earning the title of 'Elite Soldier'. Jin also earned 8 military awards during his service, along with praise for his work ethic and physical skills. The singer was discharged from his service on June 12, 2024.

BTS Jhope
Jhope kick started his career in June 2013 as the group's main dancer and lead rapper. He is also known as the 'sunshine' of the band. Jhope joined the military service on April 18, 2023, as an assistant training instructor at the 26th Infantry Division. During his service, he earned the special warrior award and the excellent military trainer award for his outstanding work. He was discharged from his duty in October 2024.

BTS Suga
Suga is one of the key members of the BTS band. He began his career in 2013 and gained massive attention as the band's rapper. He began his service in September 2023 as a social service agent. He was enlisted in this alternative service due to a past shoulder injury. Suga also served as a special Presidential Envoy, along with his military service. He completed his service in June 2025.

BTS RM
RM is the leader, main rapper and producer of the BTS band since 2013. He was enlisted for his military service in December 2023. He served in the military band of the 15th Infantry Division in Hwacheon. The singer was then promoted to Corporal. During his service, he contributed as a philanthropist as well. After a successful and fulfilling run, he was discharged from the military in June 2025.

BTS V
Kim Tae-Hyung, famously known as V, joined the kpop group BTS in 2013 as the vocalist and the lead dancer. The singer is known for his captivating stage presence and distinct charm. He began his military service in December 2023 along with RM. Both the singers, RM and V, were discharged together. During his service, V joined the Elite Special Duty team and earned the title of special warrior. The singer was honoured with the Military Police Exemplary award.

BTS Jimin
Jimin is a global Kpop sensation who joined the band as lead vocalist and main dancer in 2013. He was enlisted for his military service in December 2023 as a gunner, where he was awarded for being the 'special Soldier' and received several achievement badges for his exceptional work. He was discharged from his service in June 2025.

BTS Jungkook
Jungkook is the most adored member of the Kpop group, BTS. He joined the band back in 2013 as the main vocalist and dancer. He is the youngest member of the band and joined the military service with Jimin in December 2023 in the 5th Infantry Division. He was promoted to the Sergeant status after he excelled in his training. Jungkook was discharged from the service on June 11, 2025.

As all the members of the Kpop band BTS are out of their military service, they have announced a major comeback project. The members are all set to release a new studio album, which is slated to be out on March 20, 2026, along with a global world tour after 4 long years.
