Nag Ashwin’s ambitious mythological science-fiction epic Kalki 2898 AD has completed one year since its theatrical release. Released on 27th June 2024, the film emerged as the second-highest-grossing film of 2024 and became the fourth-highest-grossing Telugu film of all time. Produced by C. Aswini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie became a blockbuster and so has achieved record-breaking success, leaving a noteworthy mark in the history of Indian cinema. As fans celebrated the first anniversary of the film, Amitabh Bachchan recently posted a cryptic post on social media. Did Big B just accidentally drop a hint about a sequel, or was it just a good old, sincere tribute?

Amitabh Bachchan took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "My honoured privilege to be asked to be a part of it … one that I admired and respected the blessings of Vyjayanthi Films and the elders that ran and connected with it … ever to be a part of it any day again, IF THEY WERE TO EVER TO ASK." This tweet was in response to a celebratory post shared by Vyjayanthi Movies, which read, “We started with a dream… And you turned it into an epic. Celebrating 1 YEAR of #Kalki2898AD. Thank you to the audience. This journey is yours as much as ours: #1YearForKalki2898AD #1YearForKalkiKARNAge.”

About Kalki 2898 AD Movie

The movie also stars Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, and the storyline revolved around a mission to protect SUM-80, a mysterious lab subject carrying an unborn child believed to be the incarnation of Kalki.

On the work front, Prabhas has a lot in his kitty. His upcoming projects include The Raja Saab and Spirit which originally set to star Deepika Padukone, however, Deepika was unable to commit due to schedule conflicts and personal commitment. So, now the role has gone to up and coming actress, Triptii Dimri. Besides that Deepika is also gearing up for Atlee’s upcoming movie AA22xA6 which also star Allu Arjun.
