Actress Kangana Ranaut is currently promoting her upcoming film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, which is based on the bravery shown by hospital staff during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. During the trailer launch event, Kangana shared a personal memory from the night of November 26, 2008. She recalled where she was when the attacks began and how she first learned about the shocking incident.

According to PTI, Kangana revealed that she was at actress Shahana Goswami's Yari Road home when the attacks began. Several actors associated with Vishesh Films had gathered there for a party. 

Sharing the memories, Kabgana said "I have a story. We were all having difficulties at Vishesh Films while working with Mahesh Bhatt, sir. We were all invited to a party at Shahana's house on Yari Road.”

Mahesh Bhatt Brought The News

The actress stated that everyone was having a good time until the director Mahesh Bhatt showed up. As soon as he walked in, he instructed them to turn on the television.

Kangana recalled, "We were dancing and having fun when Bhatt sir came in. He immediately said, Turn on the TV, right away. After watching the new he asked Is this a terrorist attack? he said after viewing the news.”

Kangana Says Mahesh Bhartt Adviced To Stay Indoors During 26/11 Attack

Kangana further said that Mahesh Bhatt advised everyone to stay inside the house until the situation was clear. The group deliberated whether they should leave or stay together.

According to Kangana, Mahesh Bhatt urged that no one walk out. As a result, 20 to 25 people remained at Shahana's house, closely following television developments.

About The 26/11 Mumbai Attacks 

On November 26, 2008, ten Pakistani terrorists entered Mumbai by sea and carried out coordinated attacks at multiple locations between 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, including a railway station, luxury hotels and a Jewish centre. The siege lasted nearly 60 hours and claimed 166 lives.

The film also stars Girija Oak and Smita Tambe and is scheduled to release on June 12, 2026.
