Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 1: Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth starrer Kannada mythological action drama released in theatres on October 2 and lived up to the expectations of the audience. The film, which was one of the most anticipated films of the year, created havoc at the ticket windows with outstanding performance. Yes, Kantara Chapter 1 is here to break the records of every blockbuster movie released this year. The Kannada movie earned a big number on opening day itself. Kantara Chapter 1 is expected to maintain the same momentum in the coming days as well.

As per Sacnilk, Kantara Chapter 1 earned Rs 60 crore on Day 1. The film had an overall 88.13 per cent Kannada occupancy on Thursday. It had 73.56 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 96.14 per cent in the afternoon shows, 90.78 per cent in the evening shows, 92.04 per cent in the night shows.

The movie explored the origins of Kaadubettu Shiva during the Kadamba dynasty era. It revolves around the untamed wilderness and forgotten lore surrounding his past. Kantara Chapter 1 features Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah and Prakash Thuminad in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by Rishab Shetty himself. It has been produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Chaluve Gowda under the production banner of Hombale Films.

The movie is the prequel to the 2022 movie Kantara, which was a massive blockbuster. It then had a net collection of Rs 309.64 and Rs 407.82 crore worldwide.
