Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 11: This time, Rishab Shetty has returned with an even more powerful prequel that is currently making waves at the box office after wowing fans with his 2022 Kantara A Legend. The Kannada movie had an incredible start and has now broken several records. As it enters the Diwali holiday weekend starting on October 17, the mythological epic may garner more attention after a strong second weekend.

Kantara Chapter 1 made an incredible debut with an impressive first week, earning Rs 337.4 crore. The Kannada movie made Rs 22.25 crore on day 9 as it began its second week, and on day 10 (the second Saturday), it saw a huge increase of 75.28% to make Rs 39 crore, with the Hindi belt contributing the most (Rs 14.25 crore). The magnum opus made Rs 39 crore on its second Sunday, bringing its total domestic receipts to Rs 437.65 crore.

Kantara Chapter 1 has eclipsed the lifetime India net collection of SS Rajamouli's masterpiece, Baahubali-The Beginning, which brought in Rs 420 crore net, and Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's neo-noir action thriller Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which brought in Rs 406.45 crore.

Kantara's prequel has achieved a number of notable achievements, including becoming the second-highest grossing Kannada film ever with multiple awards. In addition to being one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025, it became the second-highest-grossing Indian film of the same year and the highest-grossing Kannada film. Furthermore, Kantara Chapter 1 conflicted with Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which was supported by Karan Johar and starred Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra. Varun's picture is still struggling and hasn't even made Rs 50 crore at the domestic box office, whereas Rishab's flick came out on top.
