Kantara Chapter 1 Cast Fees: The buzz around Kantara Chapter 1 is only getting louder as the film prepares for its grand release this Dusshera. Directed, written, and headlined by Rishab Shetty, the Kannada mythological action drama is being seen as one of the biggest films of the year. Serving as a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, the upcoming movie promises to take audiences deeper into the roots of the mysterious world that first captivated fans. While the original film explored the traditions, rituals, and conflicts of a remote village, Kantara Chapter 1 is set to go back in time and unravel the mythological beliefs and ancestral struggles that shaped the story.
One of the most talked-about aspects of the film is the salary charged by its cast. Back in 2022, when Rishab Shetty not only directed and wrote Kantara but also played the lead role, he charged around Rs 4 crore for his work. That film went on to become a cultural phenomenon, winning critical praise and turning into one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema. Now, with Kantara Chapter 1 all set for release, reports suggest that Rishab Shetty’s remuneration has seen a historic rise. According to an Asianews report, the actor-filmmaker is charging an astonishing Rs 100 crore for this prequel. This marks a massive jump of nearly 2,400% compared to what he received for the first film. This figure makes Rishab Shetty the highest-paid star of the film, and one of the most expensive names in the Kannada film industry today.
While Rishab Shetty leads the pack with a staggering paycheck, other cast members of Kantara Chapter 1 are also being well compensated. Reports reveal that Sapthami Gowda, Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram have each charged around Rs 1 crore for their roles. These actors are expected to play pivotal parts in shaping the larger narrative of the prequel.

With its trailer already receiving overwhelming appreciation, the film has created massive anticipation among fans across India.
