Kantara Chapter 1: Rishab Shetty is currently gearing up for the release of his much-awaited movie Kantara Chapter 1. The Kannada movie is the prequel to his 2022 blockbuster movie Kantara. The original Kannada movie garnered widespread acclaim for its compelling narrative, stunning visuals, and powerful performances. The makers are now set to deliver an even grander, more daring, and more intense new chapter. The makers have recently shared a BTS video as the shoot of the Kannada movie wrapped up.

Kannada movie Kantara Chapter 1 makers took to X to share the BTS video with the caption, “Wrap Up… The Journey Begins Presenting #WorldOfKantara ~ A Glimpse into the making. #KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit. Can’t wait to see you all in theatres on October 2nd, as this legendary tale unfolds on big screens worldwide.” With a recently released BTS video, the much-anticipated Kannada movie has generated significant buzz among fans. It is slated to hit theatres on October 2, 2025.

Meanwhile, in the video, Rishab Shetty discloses that the Kannada movie has been shot over a period of three years and that thousands have worked on Kantara: Chapter 1, which, according to him, is not just a film but a divine force. Rishab Shetty in the video is heard saying, “I have a dream. To tell the story of my land to the whole world. Our village. Our people. Our beliefs. When I chose to pursue that dream, thousands stood with me. Three years of hard work. Two hundred and fifty days of shoot. No matter the challenges I have faced, the faith never let go of me. My entire team, my producers, they were my backbone. Everyday, as I looked out to the thousands who had gathered to work, one thought kept coming back to me. This is not just a film. This is a divine force. Welcome to the world of Kantara."

Kantara Chapter 1 Details

The Kannada movie is bankrolled by Hombale Films and features music by Ajaneesh Loknath. Rishab Shetty’s movie is being produced on a grander scale with an increased budget. The Kannada movie will feature an epic war scene involving 500 trained fighters and over 3,000 extras. The movie stars Rishab Shetty and Jayaram in lead roles. Kantara Chapter 1 is set to be released in multiple Indian languages, including a Bengali version, to reach a broader national audience.
