Shanaya Kapoor is about to make her debut in Bollywood with her upcoming movie Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan opposite Vikrant Massey. Her debut was supposed to happen a long time back, when Karan Johar announced Bedhadak, co-starring Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada along with her. However, the movie was shelved, and Shanaya had to wait for her golden chance. Her first movie is set to hit the theatres on July 11, 2025, which will clash with Rajkumar Rao’s Maalik. The who’s who of Bollywood attended the special screening of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan ahead of its release.

Shanaya Kapoor’s parents, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, along with her cousins Khushi Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, were spotted celebrating her milestone. Karan Johar also took to his Instagram to pen a sweet note for the star kid. He posted pictures of Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor and her brother Jahaan Kapoor and wrote, “I have known Sanjay and Maheep for over three decades….I have seen them in joyous celebrations, in quiet moments, in their lowest hours and beautiful destiny highs… battling storms that have come in their way with a broad smile on their faces and always an impeccable sense of humour … a couple that are deeply loved by everyone who know them…. The centres of their universe has always been their children Shanaya and Jahaan (fun fact: I have named him).”

Karan Johar’s love didn’t stop here. He continued, “They raised them to be the most warm and loving children…. Day after is a day of sunshine for their baby girl…she is an exceptionally hard working girl and has poured her heart and soul into her debut feature… will ofcourse let her work speak for itself and I know it will…. Shanaya Kapoor acknowledged KJo’s post and commented, “love you !!! Ur the best”. Maheep and Sanjay also reacted to the filmmaker’s heartfelt post for their daughter. Aparshakti Khurana also praised the actress in the comment section and wrote, “Just saw the film! She is fab!”

Shanaya Kapoor’s bestie, Ananya Panday also took to her Instagram and shared a photo of Shanaya posing with Maheep Kapoor. She wrote, “So sad! I missed my beautiful besties most special night but I am gonna be seated in the cinema on Friday and you should be too."

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan has been directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla. Vishal Mishra has done the music for the film. Apart from Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, Shanaya Kapoor will also be seen in Tu Yaa Main, with Adarsh Gourav.
