Entourage cost has been a long-standing issue in the Bollywood industry. The demands for multiple vanity vans, personal chefs, stylists and large staff by stars, particularly newer ones, are seen as excessive and unsustainable. However, not all actors are privileged to ask for a luxury entourage. Opening up about the same, actor Karanvir Sharma, in an interview with The Daily Jagran, stated that entourage cost should be equal for everyone and that it should not be just for stars.

Karanvir Sharma is curently basking in the success of Trial Season 2, which also stars Kajol in lead role. In the series, Sharma essays the role of a lawyer, named Param Munjal. When asked if he could send one legal notice as Param Manjal to fix the industry, would it be about paychecks, screen time or entourage costs, he said that he would first approach the censorship board. He proposed introducing more mediums and working on the system to cater to different audience preferences. Karanvir suggested that he would argue that blurring a bottle doesn't justify the issue and that individuals should have the freedom to choose whether or not to consume alcohol.

He said, "They give a statutory warning, which is very good. I'm not against it. But there should be, like you have an A or a U. Waise usme bhi aur medium daaLne chahiye. Aur bhi usko work upon kiya jaye. Ki agar kisi ko waise hi picture dekhne hai." He cited the Academy Award-winning film Anora as an example, noting that artistic expression can be conveyed without explicit content. He stressed that editing scenes to remove perceived objectionable content would change the film's intent and the director's artistic vision, potentially altering its overall impact and message.

Karanvir Sharma says 'Entourage cost should be equal'

Karanvir Sharma also broke his silence on rising entourage costs. He said, "Entourage cost, sabki equal karni chahiye. Hamari cost, Jo achche actors hai, unko zyada paise do. Just don't go for stars."

Karanvir further talked about the ongoing debate surrounding nepotism. He believes that talent will ultimately shine through. He cited Saiyaara, stating, "Ab wo bhi ladka, kahi na kahi industry se joda hua Ahan Pandey, but I think the boy is very talented. Usne kahi na kahi uski meinat dikhti hai. Toh agar wo talented hai, toh mujhe yeh bura nahi lagta, ke wo nepo kid hai, you know. Your money is worth, agar ab mein paise kharch karte jaara hu, ek cinema hall mein, aur picture dekhta hu, I've personally seen the film, and I love it and I must say, ke mujhe nahi bura laga, ke wo nepo kid hai, ki kya hai."

Karanvir Sharma calls Mohit Suri his 'favourite'

Karanvir hailed Saiyaara and caled director Mohit Suri his 'favourite'. He said, "I really like the film. I have been a Mohit Suri fan from day one. Unki ek film hai jo box office pe hit nahi thi lekin meri favourite hai. Agar aap Mohit Suri ko bhi poochenge toh, main itna crazy fan hoon. Kahi na kahi wo active ho jata hai toh, mera ek comment a jaata hai. When is Awarapan 2 happening?"
