Kartik Aaryan Begins Filming For Naagzilla, Karan Johar Shares Photos From Muhurat Ceremony

Naagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan in lead role, is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 14, 2026. The great news is that Kartik Aaryan has started shooting for Naagzilla. The glimpses of the muhurat ceremony were shared by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the banner backing the project.

A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows Kartik Aaryan performing a pooja alongside Karan Johar, director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and the rest of the team. The clip ends with the motion poster of Naagzilla, revealing Kartik’s striking shirtless look — his skin textured like snakeskin, hinting at the film’s intriguing theme.

In the video, Karan Aaryan could be heard saying, "Insaano wali picturein to bahut dekh li. Ab dekho naago wali picture. [We have seen plenty of human movies. Now, let us watch one about snakes.]"

On Saturday, Kartik Aaryan announced the start of Naagzilla’s shoot through an Instagram post. Smiling brightly in the photo, he held a clapboard bearing the film’s title. In his caption, Kartik shared that the first day of filming coincided with the one-year anniversary of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, writing, "1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev."
