Bigg Boss 19's latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode was full of entertainment, surprises and unexpected twists. What grabbed even more attention was when host Salman Khan addressed the long-standing allegations of ruining people's careers. This comes after Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap claimed that Salman and his family have sabotaged the careers of many in the film industry. In a conversation with special guest Shehnaaz Gill on the BB 19 stage, the actor firmly denied the claims, stating that it’s not in his hands to make or ruin anyone’s career. If he could do so, he said, he would start by destroying his own. Read on to find out what Salman actually said during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19.
Salman Khan Responds To Claims Of Ruining People's Careers
During Weekend Ka Vaar, aired on September 7, Salman Khan welcomed Shehnaaz Gill, who requested him to fulfil her brother Shehbaz Badesha's dream by getting him into Bigg Boss 19 house. The Bigg Boss 13 fame said, "Sir, aapne itnon ke career banaye hai." To this, Salman replied, “Maine kahan banaye hain kisi ki career. Career banane waala toh upar waala hai."
Reacting to accusations, he added, "Laanchan bhi daala hai ki kitno ke dubaaye hai. Specially dubaane waale toh mere haath mein hai hi nahi. Lekin aaj kal sab chalta hai na ki career khaa jaayega. Kaunsa career khaaya maine? Par agar khao na toh main apna khud ka career khaa jaunga. Kabhi kabhi main complacent ho jaata hoon aur fir chhod deta hoon aur fir wapas usko apne grip mein laane ki koshish karta hoon (People have even mocked me saying I’ve ruined so many careers. But honestly, that’s not even in my hands. These days, it’s become a trend to say, ‘Oh, he’ll finish someone’s career.’ Tell me, whose career have I destroyed? And if I ever do, it’ll be my own. At times, I become complacent and let things slip, but then I work hard to bring everything back under my grip).”

This statement from Salman comes after recent claims made by Dabangg director, who labelled the actor as 'gunda' and called his family 'vindictive.'
In an interview with the SCREEN, Abhinav Kashyap said, "He (Salman Khan) is the father of the star system in Bollywood. He is from a film family which has been in the industry since 50 years. He continues the process. They are vindictive people. They control the whole process. If you don’t agree with them, they come after you."
Calling Salman an "ill-mannered" and not interesting in acting, he stated, “He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn’t been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting. He is a gunda (goon). I was not aware of this before Dabangg. Salman badtameez hai, ganda insaan hai."
The director also disclosed how his brother, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, was dropped from Salman’s 2003 film Tere Naam. The movie was initially slated to be directed by Anurag Kashyap, but he was later removed by Boney Kapoor and the late Satish Kaushik took over as director. Abhinav alleged that Anurag's departure was due to creative differences after he asked the lead actor to grow chest hair.
