Actress Keerthy Suresh has raised concerns about artificial intelligence invading user privacy. Recently, the actress revealed how she discovered morphed images of herself circulating on social media. Keerthy, who is busy promoting her film Revolver Rita, expressed her disappointment over the misuse of technology. She shared her reaction upon seeing her photos manipulated by AI technology. Read on to know what the actress said about her viral morphed images.
At a press conference in Chennai, Keerthy said, “AI has become a huge issue. It has turned into both a boon and a bane. Humans created technology, but we are gradually losing control over it. On social media, I am often shocked to see my photos in suggestive outfits and wonder if I ever wore them, because they look that real."
Revealing her own experience, the actress added, "Recently, an outfit I wore for a movie puja was altered in a vulgar way from a different angle. For a moment, I was confused, and then I realized I never posed like that. It is definitely irritating and deeply hurting.”

This is not the first time the actress has raised concerns about artificial intelligence. There are several Indian actresses who have been targeted by the technology. Since 2023, cases involving high-profile deepfake victims have made headlines. Celebrities including Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Sai Pallavi, have all been affected by AI misuse.
In September this year, Sai Pallavi reacted to the trolls questioning her after her altered images from the beach, making it seem like she was wearing a bikini, were widely circulated online. Sharing the pictures and videos from her Australian vacation on Instagram, the actress wrote, "PS: The above images are real and aren’t Ai generated."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Keerthy Suresh is gearing up for the release of the Tamil crime comedy Revolver Rita, which is set to hit screens on 28 November. Directed by JK Chandru, the film also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Sunil, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, Sendrayan, Super Subbarayan and others. It is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy under Passion Studios and The Route.
