Kesari Veer Box Office Collection Day 3: Suniel Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi’s latest movie, Kesari Veer, is struggling at the box office following its theatrical release on May 23, 2025. The narrative of the movie centres on Hamirji Gohil (played by Sooraj Pancholi), who rises to protect his land and faith against the oppressive Tughlaq regime. Suniel Shetty portrays Vegdaji, the leader of the Bhil community, standing alongside Hamirji in defending the Somnath Temple. Vivek Oberoi takes on the role of the antagonist, Jallaludin Zafar Khan, whose ambition threatens the sanctity of the temple. Akanksha Sharma plays Rajal, Hamirji’s love interest, adding an emotional layer to the story.
Kesari Veer Box Office Collection:
Kesari Veer earned just Rs 32 lakh on Sunday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 88 lakh in three days, according to Sacnilk. Meanwhile, the film is yet to cross even the Rs 1 crore mark after three days. Kesari Veer got off to a shaky start right from day one, earning just Rs 25 lakh on its opening day. Suniel Shetty’s movie didn’t pick up much over the weekend either, with Rs 31 lakh coming in on Saturday and Rs 32 lakh on Sunday. On Sunday, the overall Hindi occupancy stood at a modest 12.57 per cent.
Kesari Veer Vs Bhool Chook Maaf Box Office Collection:
Meanwhile, Kesari Veer also had to compete with Bhool Chook Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao, which made a surprising comeback to theatres after an initial plan for a direct-to-OTT release by Maddock Films. The gamble paid off, with the movie raking in a solid Rs 6.75 crore on day one. In contrast, Kesari Veer struggled to find its footing.
On the other hand, to promote Kesari Veer, Salman Khan took to Instagram and posted a photo with Sooraj Pancholi, endorsing his comeback to Bollywood. In the caption, he wrote, “Abhi raat hai, subah Sooraj chamkega @soorajpancholi.” Sooraj Pancholi has made a return to Indian cinema years after being embroiled in the Jiah Khan suicide case, which significantly impacted his career. Kesari Veer marks his comeback film after his 2015 debut, Hero, where he starred opposite Athiya Shetty.
