Kiara Advani has recently spoken out against a social media page that linked one of her old interview statements to her newborn daughter. The actress, who welcomed her baby girl with husband Sidharth Malhotra in July this year, reacted strongly after a page claimed she wanted her daughter to inherit Kareena Kapoor’s qualities. Kiara and Sidharth became parents to a baby girl on 15 July 2025. Just a day later, an Instagram page called Bolly Masala shared a photo of Kiara with Kareena Kapoor, captioning it: “Kiara Advani wants her daughter to have Kareena Kapoor’s qualities. She and Sidharth recently welcomed a baby girl.”
Meanwhile, clearly unhappy with the post, Kiara responded directly in the comments section. She wrote, “This was said during the promotions of our film Good Newwz. Kindly stop putting old interviews out of context.” Her reaction soon sparked mixed opinions online. Some praised her for calling out the page, while others thought her tone was too blunt. One fan commented, “I’m so glad someone called out such pages directly because most of the time they put things out of context and celebs get heat for no reason!” Another wrote, “I wish all of them responded to these pages… trying to make a buck out of twisting people’s statements.” However, not everyone agreed. A critic remarked, “Wow, that was rude though. Yikes! She could have easily ignored it since she did say that. Not like they made it up.”

On the other hand, the viral statement came from an interview Kiara gave to journalist Faridoon Shahryar during the promotions of her 2019 film Good Newwz. At the time, Kiara was asked about her views on motherhood. She expressed her wish to have two healthy children and, when questioned about what qualities she would like her daughter to have from Kareena Kapoor, she replied, “Her confidence, her expressions, her aura. All her qualities. She is a 10 on 10.”
Kiara Advani’s Current Work
On the professional front, Kiara was last seen in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, where she starred alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The action-spy thriller received mixed reviews but performed well commercially, collecting over Rs 364 crore worldwide. The actress is now preparing for her Kannada debut in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups. The film features a star-studded cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Achyut Kumar, and Akshay Oberoi. The project is currently in production and has already created significant buzz.
