Full Plate Movie Premiere: Kirti Kulhari is preparing for a proud moment on the global stage as her new movie Full Plate is all set for its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival on September 18. Recognised as Asia’s biggest film festival, Busan provides a powerful platform for films and actors from around the world, and Kulhari is thrilled to represent Indian cinema at such a prestigious event. The film has been directed by National Award-winning actor-turned-filmmaker Tannishtha Chatterjee. Known for her bold choices and layered storytelling, Chatterjee explores themes of food, faith, and resilience in Full Plate.

Kirti Kulhari expressed her excitement and emotional connection to the project ahead of its premiere. The Blackmail actress said, “Full Plate is very close to my heart, and for it to begin its journey at a platform as respected as Busan feels truly special. As an actor, it’s rare to find stories that move you and challenge you equally. Amreen’s journey did that for me, and I’m grateful that the world will finally get to meet her.” This year has been particularly significant for Kulhari, who has consistently balanced strong, meaningful cinema with mainstream projects. With Full Plate, she marks her first leading role to debut at an international film festival. She added, “I’ve given my heart, blood, and sweat to this film. To see it come alive on such a global stage is an honour. I’m looking forward to watching the audience’s response in Busan. I know it will be a very special moment.”

The story revolves around Amreen, played by Kulhari, who at first seems like a traditional homemaker, obedient and rooted in her family duties. However, as the film progresses, Amreen’s vibrant personality, curiosity, and quirky charm slowly emerge, offering audiences a deeply human and moving portrayal.
