Maalik Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar starrer action thriller movie released in theatres on July 11. The film has opened with mixed reviews from the audience and critics. Maalik had a slow start on its opening day, which raises concerns about its survival at the box office. As per Sacnilk, Maalik earned Rs 3.35 crore on the opening day. The movie had an overall 12.86 per cent Hindi occupancy on Friday. It had 6.65 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 11.12 per cent in the afternoon shows, 11.78 per cent in the evening shows and 21.88 per cent in the night shows.

According to reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 54 crore.

About Maalik

The movie is about a peasant’s son, who rises to power and becomes a gangster in Allahabad in the 80s. It explores the journey of his transformation and also navigates the themes of crime, politics. The movie features Rajkummar Rao, Medha Shankr, Manushi Chhillar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla in prominent roles.
