Malayalam Actor-Producer Kannan Pattambi Passes Away At 62, Brother Major Ravi Confirms Heartbreaking News

Kannan Pattambi Death: After contributing to the Indian film industry for almost three decades, Malayalam actor Kannan Pattambi passed away at the age of 62. Kannan has acted in several Malayalam films like Pulimurugan, Odiya, Keerthi Chakra and others, which helped him establish a strong name for himself. His sudden demise came as a shock to his fans and well-wishers. Along with acting, he was a well-known producer and was a prominent part of the industry who beautifully balanced work behind the scenes while offering his fans some memorable on-screen appearances.

On January 5th, Kannan Pattambi's younger brother, Major Ravi, who is a former Indian Army officer turned filmmaker, shared this heartbreaking news with his fans through a Facebook post. He shared a photo of his late brother Kannan and wrote, "My Dear brother, Kannan Pattambi, who was a film production controller, passed away at 11:41 PM last night. The funeral will be held at Pattambi's home in Njangattiri today at 4 PM. My younger brother, Kannan Pattambi, has left for his heavenly abode. Om Shanti."

The late actor Kannan Pattambi passed away while undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment at a private hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala.

Kannan Pattambi's Projects

Kannan Pattambi and Major Ravi collaborated on several major projects, including the movie, Mission 90 Days, which is based on Major Ravi's personal experiences during the investigation into the Rajiv Gandhi's assassination case.

Alongside his many notable collaborations, his movie, Pulimurugan, with Mohanlal, emerged as the first Malayalam film to cross the Rs 100 crore milestone at the box office. The late actor has acted in around 23 Malayalam films, often in supporting roles, but he always caught the limelight for his natural performance.
