This connection stems from his close friendship with Shweta's late father, Sunil Rohira. After Sunil's demise, Salman took on a supportive role in Shweta and her brother Siddharth's lives, treating them like family. Shweta, a freelance journalist, writer and artist, has been a part of Salman's life for years, and their rakhi tradition symbolises their enduring bond.
How did Shweta Rohira meet Salman Khan?
According to a report in Bollywood Bubble, Shweta once revealed how she met her Rakhi brother Salman Khan. She said, "I was in class 7 then. One fine day, I landed outside Galaxy Apartments along with a bunch of kids. I told him (Salman) that I wanted to tie a rakhi on his wrist. We just hit it off from there. We are karmically connected. It was later that he realised he knew my father (Sunil Rohira); they used to chill together at Sea Rock Hotel in Bandra. Bhai did my kanyadaan."

DYK Shweta Rohira is Pulkit Samrat's ex-wife?
Shweta Rohira is the ex-wife of Bollywood actor Pulkit Samrat. It was Salman Khan who had performed Shweta’s kanyadaan when she had tied the knot with her beau actor Pulkit Samrat. The duo got married in 2014, but they called it quits within a year. Samrat is now married to actress Kriti Kharbanda. Shweta is focusing on her content creation and has 589k followers on Instagram.
Talking about her separation from Pulkit, Shweta had said, "I got to know him when I went to interview him for a website I was writing for. We stayed in touch and spent a lot of time together. It was a fairytale romance. Suddenly he dropped a bomb on my birthday (September 23) last year. It was too sudden. He said he wanted to go his way. I told him to come out in the open and acknowledge that we are separating, but he chose not to."
For the unversed, Salman Khan comes from a close-knit family. He has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and two sisters, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and an adopted sister, Arpita Khan Sharma. Alvira is married to filmmaker Atul Agnihotri, while Arpita is married to actor Aayush Sharma.
