Metro In Dino: Cinema lovers are eagerly waiting for the highly anticipated film Metro In Dino, a sequel to the 2007 classic movie Life In A Metro, directed by Anurag Basu. While not a direct follow-up, the upcoming film will bring a new story through fresh characters. The movie features a star-studded cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Neena Gupta, Makers took audiences back in time by releasing the teaser of the first song, Zamaana Lage. At the launch event, Konkona Sen Sharma remembered her co-star and late actor Irrfan Khan, who also starred in Life In A Metro. She revealed how much she missed him during the shooting of the movie.

Konkona Sen attended the Zamaana Lage song launch event in Mumbai with other star cast. During media interaction, she opened up about how she missed the presence of Irrfan Khan while working on the Metro In Dino movie. She said, “There were so many moments when I missed him during the shoot of the film. Zamaane lagenge unko bhulaane mein... It happened many times, but I don't want to say what and when, because when you watch the film, I think you'll know when. Today, we'll celebrate."

Anurag Basu also joined in and revealed how he also missed him and the late singer KK. He added, "We were shooting a scene, and the tone for it was a little similar to a scene from the first film. Suddenly, Konkona started crying, and even right now, I am worried that the same will happen if someone asks a question about him. We miss him; we miss KK very much, and there are many others who are missing now, with whom we collaborated earlier.”

In the film Life In A Metro, Irrfan played the role of Monty, while Konkona portrayed Shruti Ghosh, his love interest. The story revolves around the lives of nine people living in Mumbai and their personal struggles. Anurag Basu's directorial explored themes such as extramarital affairs, marriage, commitment issues and love. Adding musical charm to the film, KK lent his voice to the hit tracks Alvida and O Meri Jaan, which remain evergreen.

Metro In Dino is scheduled for release in theatres on July 4, 2025.
