Mirzapur Season 2 Ending Explained
Mirzapur season two finale shocked viewers with major character deaths, narrow escapes, and shifting allegiances. Throughout the season, the hot-headed Munna Tripathi (Divyendu Sharma) was somewhat humanised through his genuine love story with his wife, Madhuri (Isha Talwar). However, his relentless thirst for power created a deep rift with his father, Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi).
Just as Kaleen Bhaiya finally decided to forgive his son and hand over the reins of Mirzapur to Munna at the cremation grounds, Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (shweta Tripathi) ambushed them without their security guards.
In a brutal, emotional shootout, Guddu and Golu successfully executed Munna, fulfilling their long-awaited thirst for vengeance. However, a heavily injured Kaleen Bhaiya managed to escape and save his life with the help of his rival, Sharad Shukla (Anjum Shama), who whisked him away to safety for his own hidden motives.
While Guddu and Golu pulled the triggers, it was Beena Tripathi (Rasika Dugal) who acted as the true mastermind of the season. After enduring horrific exploitation, Beena exacted brutal revenge by executing the family patriarch, Bauji (Kalbhushan Kharbanda), with the help of a loyal aide, Maqbool (Shaji Choudhary).
Beena masterfully manipulated multiple men to ensure the safety of her unborn child and secretly served as Guddu's prime informant. By alerting Guddu and Golu to the vulnerability and internal discord between Kaleen Bhaiya and Munna, she single-handedly orchestrated the downfall of the Tripathi empire, cleverly securing a powerful future for her infant son.
Meanwhile, a chaotic sub-plot unfolded in Bihar within the Tyagi crime family. A deadly internal shootout involving Dadda Tyagi and his twin sons resulted in a major identity twist. The post-credits scene revealed that the elder twin, Bharat (Vijay Varma), was actually killed, and his younger brother, Shatrughan (Vijay Varma), assumed his identity to survive and seek hidden revenge against Golu.
