Actor Mouni Roy turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday as she arrived to present her upcoming film Bombay Stories at the Marche du Film. She made a striking appearance in a chic monochrome outfit while posing along the French Riviera. Her Cannes appearance drew extra attention, as it came shortly after Mouni Roy confirmed her separation from her husband, Suraj Nambiar.

Mouni Roy looked lovely in an oversized coat that casually slipped off her shoulders, silky stockings, pointed boots, and a striking black halter-neck bodycon silhouette. Her monochromatic colour scheme, simple accessories, and slicked-back bun let the outfit's structure and precise tailoring take centre stage.

In case you weren't aware, this is not Mouni Roy's first appearance at Cannes. She embraced soft couture glamour in statement ensembles from top designers for last year's red carpet appearance. Even though it's her first day at Cannes, it already feels like the start of many more standout looks to come.

About Mouni Roy's Bombay Stories
Rahhat Shah Kazmi's Bombay Stories, which is based on the writings of author Saadat Hasan Manto, is scheduled to have its world premiere at the Marché du Film on May 20, marking Mouni Roy's worldwide debut. However, its first look will be unveiled a day earlier, on May 19, at the Indian Pavilion in Cannes.
Mouni Roy plays Sharifan in the Indo-American co-production. Sharifan is a lady who lives on the periphery of Bombay's underbelly and is known by several names but longs to be known by her own. Anupria Goenka and Sushmita Singh play important parts in it as well.

Mouni Roy And Suraj Nambiar Announce Separation
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar requested privacy and asked people not to disseminate misleading information about their relationship in a joint statement posted on Instagram on May 14. Additionally, the statement urged media outlets and fans to give them space at this time.
A part of the statement read - "We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably."
