Cannes 2026 Guest List: The 79th edition of the famous Cannes International Film Festival is just around the corner. Starting on May 12, 2026, the French Riviera will welcome a large group of Indian actors and filmmakers. This year is particularly special because it features a wide range of talent from different parts of India, including Bollywood, Punjab, and Maharashtra.

Cannes 2026: Aishwarya Rai, Alia Bhatt And Others Ready For Red Carpet

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will return once again as a global ambassador for L’Oréal. Joining her is Alia Bhatt, who is making her second appearance after a successful debut last year. Other big names include director Karan Johar, Mouni Roy, and Pooja Batra.

Adding to the glamour, reports suggest Tara Sutaria will be making her first-ever appearance at the festival. According to reports, “Along with Tara Sutaria, Ammy Virk will also be making his debut at the film festival. One of the most exciting parts of Cannes 2026 is the strong presence of regional Indian films. Reports state that for the first time, Punjabi cinema will be represented by Ammy Virk and Roopi Gill. Additionally from Marathi film industry veteran stars Ashok Saraf and Nivedita Saraf, along with Prajakta Mali, will walk the red carpet. They plan to celebrate their culture by wearing traditional Marathi outfits.

Furthermore, Gujarati actress and producer Manasi Parekh will be there with her husband, Parthiv Gohil, to discuss new projects with international financiers.

Meanwhile, it is not just about the fashion; serious film business is also happening. Ashutosh Gowariker will attend in his new role as the director of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Meanwhile, famous directors Anurag Kashyap and Anubhav Sinha will be visiting to watch new global premieres.

Several Indian films will be shown in the Marché du Film (the film market) section. These include the Malayalam film Balan The Boy, directed by Chidambaram, and the documentary Spirit Of The Wildflower. The Cannes Film Festival will run from May 12 to May 23, 2026.
