Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni starred in Kuberaa, which opened in theaters on June 20. Sekhar Kammula is the director of this socio-thriller, which tells the tale of a beggar who joins up with a shrewd CBI officer and leads him into a high-stakes scheme involving a wealthy business magnate. The makers of Kuberaa hosted a success event in Hyderabad on Sunday, where Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi heaped praises on Rashmika Mandanna.

Nagarjuna said, "Watching Rashmika on screen made me think of Sridevi Garu from Kshana Kshanam. Really, so many frames and so well.” Nagarjuna further said that Rashmika looked beautiful in the film and added, “I mean it's no wonder that Pushpa has earned her the nickname National Crush. Because of this movie, she is, in fact, now Nag's crush also. I loved you. You look amazing in the movie. We all love you."

Chiranjeevi added to this and said, "Nag, you quoted my dialogue. In addition to being your crush, Rashmika is also my crush." Rashmika Mandanna was seen blushing and making heart gestures as these veteran actors talked about her.

The video shared by @telugufilmnagar from the success event has been doing rounds on social media. Many users have shared two cents on the viral clip. One of the users wrote, "Him, Balayya, Nagrajuna should all be banned. Such a bunch of pedos." Another user wrote, "These old greezers are just yuck to the core. She's your grand daughter's age." A third user slammed the veteran actors and wrote, " Just talk about her acting man."

Kuberaa is an action criminal drama that tells the story of a beggar (played by Dhanush) who meets Nagarjuna's character and changes drastically. It looks at issues of ambition, avarice, and moral quandaries. On June 20, 2025, Sekhar Kammula's crime drama was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi on movie theaters around the world. Kuberaa made Rs 14.75 crores on its first day of release, smashing the box office. The Telugu movie made good money on the second day as well, and on Saturday it brought in Rs 16.5 crore. Now, the Dhanush-starring thriller made use of the weekend day on the third day as well, earning Rs 17.25. Thus far, the movie has brought in Rs 48.50 crore.
