Navjot Singh Sidhu Breaks Silence On Exit From Bigg Boss 12: 'They Could Afford Me For Just A Month...'

Navjot Singh Sidhu became a household name in India after his participation in Bigg Boss Season 12. However, he was evicted from the reality show within a month. As Sidhu is all set to make a comeback on the popular comedy show- The Great Indian Kapil Show, he broke his silence about his eviction from Bigg Boss 12.

In his new vlog, Navjot Singh Sidhu said, "Bigg Boss gave a lucrative offer. People cannot go to Bigg Boss and come back without spoiling their reputation. However, I took up that challenge because I needed money to build a house in Amritsar. I wouldn’t have been able to build a house with what I earned from being a politician."

"Bigg Boss was an opportunity for me to earn money. They had a very lucrative offer. I told them my charges for the first month, second month and third month. However, they could afford me for just a month. And I was out after the first month. In that one month’s time, I never said a word against anybody in the house. I managed to return from the house without harming my reputation in society. This opened many doors for me," said Sidhu.

Navjot Singh further revealed that Colors asked Kapil Sharma to bring him as a permanent guest on the show. "Kapil Sharma rose to fame after he appeared in the show Laughter Challenge. Later, he was exploited in Comedy Circus, he didn’t have an identity of his own. Kapil Sharma came to me and said, ‘Paaji, I have a request. If you agree to be part of my show, they will give me an independent show.’ I was like, who? He said, ‘Raj Nayak sahab.’ Raj Nayak was the head of Colors back then. He wanted me to be the judge of the show. He wanted me as he wanted to increase the channel’s TRP. We met over breakfast, and I agreed to do it," he noted.

Navjot Singh Sidhu is all set to make a comeback on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Netflix announced the same via its official Instagram handle by sharing a hilarious video. "Ek kursi paaji ke liye please Har Funnyvaar Badhega Humara Parivaar with the comeback of Navjot Singh Sidhu & Archana Puran Singh. Watch them in the new season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, streaming from 21st June, at 8 PM only on Netflix."
