Alia Bhatt is all set to join the YRF’s spy universe with the highly anticipated movie Alpha scheduled for a Christmas release this year. As the first female-led spy movie in the franchise, Alpha has been generating significant buzz, with Alia portraying a fierce and dynamic agent. Fans have been rolling with excitement to see Alia in her action mode. Recently, the actress attended the Gucci Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Show at Milan Fashion Week 2025 as a global brand ambassador. Alia Bhatt’s chevron-patterned shearling long coat over a lace and satin slip dress was not the only thing that stirred a storm on social media.

Alia Bhatt was spotted talking about her upcoming movie Alpha at the event, and her single statement grabbed several people’s attention. Showing her excitement towards the project, the actress stated, "Wow, it’s pretty close. That’s a big one for me because it’s my first venture into action and I’m really curious to see how the audience connects with that."

Her statement quickly spread like wildfire on the internet and generated a heated discussion among the online users. Netizens were quick to remind Alia of her previous movies, where she had performed action stunts. One social media user wrote, “Alia has deleted Shaandar, Sadak, Kalank, Jigra and Heart of Stone from her filmography.” Another person quipped, “Shhh, we never talk about Sadak, Kalank, Heart of stone or Jigra.” A third person commented, "Jokes aside, not accepting your failures (applies to all of us) speaks a lot about the person. Might also indicate that one never learns from it either."

Apart from receiving backlash for her comment, the actress’ fans came in support of her and expressed that Jigra and Hearts of Stone were not entirely action movies. Her fans stated that a scene or two can not qualify a film to be put under the action genre.

For those who are completely unaware of Alia Bhatt’s work trajectory, the actress has starred in movies like Jigra and Hearts of Stone in 2024 and 2023, respectively, which included solid action scenes and fight sequences. On the professional front, Alia Bhatt has two big projects in her kitty. First one being YRF’s Alpha and the other one being Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which will also feature her husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal.
